my complicated life that's really not that complicated

So the other day this girl and I started talking again, she said she wanted to join the military and I was giving her advice and blah blah. She said she's doing it because she's heading nowhere in school and she can't find a stable job and she thinks it'll help her. I told her if she wants, she should apply for a job where I work, because if you know somebody who works there, you're almost gauranteed in. She stopped by my work, I gave her the app, chatted for a second before she left. I texted her and said "Why didn't I get a hug?" and she says, "Oh, I got nervous. Btw I love your hair ". Later I told her, "Just make sure you put me down as your cousin on the app, that should get you in quicker". And she's like "Ew, cousin? Then we can't date!"

Shocking, I asked her out a month ago and got shot down. Anyways, I ran with it. Today we made plans to go to downtown Chicago on Monday to drop off the application for the job and do the tests you need to do. She's like, "Sounds fun! It's a date! "

Things going good right?

Tonight I'm just talking to her all casual and shit, and ask her when we're gonna go out and grab a few drinks. She then says, "I don't want to get involved in anything right now. I'm enlisting for the Reserves on Monday"


The fuck? I think I'm just gonna go gay. There's this really nice gay guy at my work, those fuckers are always happy.
