Day 3 of utter, brutal sobriety

Nah, it's not that bad I decided to not smoke weed Thursday night for the following reasons:

  • Grogginess and nodding off in my afternoon (2-4PM) classes
  • I'd like to try a "clear mind" for my multiple difficult tests next week; I seem to have trouble focusing on reading the textbook even when I haven't yet smoked that day (residual high from the night before?)
  • I missed having dreams
  • I thought every day for two years was a lot
This has been the longest I've willingly gone without weed (I didn't smoke for a week during a family vacation at the end of this summer but had tons of stuff to keep me occupied) in almost two years; last time was about a month in December 2009, but that too was forced, because I went home. When it's here, I just do it. I actually had my grinder and bowl out Thursday, but then svm and I started playing BF3 and doing really well and I just kind of didn't; if I had I'm sure I'd have just kept on doing it. I'm almost over Morgan Spurlock's fabled "three-day hump", and today has easily been one of the best-feeling mornings I've had in a while. I had a fucking dream last night! The first one in months that I could actually somewhat-remember. Friday, the day after I had stopped (~36 hours without weed) I didn't feel tired at all in my physics class. I'm thinking maybe repeated use of weed right before bed all the time, since that was the only time I'd do it, was fucking with my melatonin levels or something, even on nights when I got enough sleep. I don't know how long I'm going to do this past Tuesday (that's when my last test is, and thus when I start to play Skyrim for the first time) but I could see myself going free and clean for a while after that. Just for kicks.

(Seriously, how great is weed? What other drug can you do every day for two years, that makes you feel that awesome, and then doesn't give you so much as a single withdrawal symptom when you stop cold-turkey?)

Didn't make a thread because this is definitely a blogpost

    I can be both
and that's not how it works. This isn't crack, meth, or heroin we're talking about.

The most consecutive times I've done it is maybe 3-4 weeks in a row, once per week.

I love having a low tolerance, and I'd rather not having any type of short-term memory problems. It would also be too expensive for me to get high every day, though hopefully that'll change someday with legalization.
